Bryan Christiansen is a South Dakota native who moved to Reno in 2006 to pursue his education in art. Christiansen holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Nevada, Reno with a minor in Philosophy. He has exhibited widely throughout the northern Nevada area, including shows juried by Artforum’s Tim Griffin and Roc La Rue Gallery’s Kirsten Anderson. In 2008 Christiansen received a Sierra Arts Student Endowment Grant, followed by a Grant Recipients group exhibition at the Sierra Arts Gallery. Recent exhibitions include the University of Nevada, Reno Emerging Artist group exhibition at the Stremmel Gallery, and “Trophy Hunter,” a solo exhibition in the Hawkins Contemporary Gallery at the Nevada Museum of Art.
